Professor Fan joined the City University of Hong Kong in 2023, after serving on the faculty of the University of Hong Kong since 2019. His research focuses on corporate disclosure, earnings management, and tax compliance. His work has been published in several leading accounting journals and has received a best paper award from the MIT Asia Conference in Accounting. He is also an inactive CPA in China.
