The one-day "research speed networking" workshop was to get each member make a 10-15min presentation, on a topic that's connected to one of the research tasks/deliverables assigned to the member at the last meeting. The objective of the presentation is to facilitate interactions and collaborations, i.e., hopefully someone in the team/audience will be inspired to join the presentor or at least interested enough to exchange ideas with the presentor. The presentor doesn't have to talk about any research results; raw or half-baked problems/ideas are welcome too. All the presentors have to do is to devote enough time and effort into preparing the presentation so as to inspire others.
