CPP is a non-credit-bearing career enrichment programme that helps master’s students build real business experience beyond the classroom. Work on a live company project, grow practical skills, and build stronger stories for your CV, applications, and interviews. Experiential learning helps students apply knowledge in real-world settings, strengthen skills, and gain experience employers value.
CPP stands for the Corporate Partnership Project. It is a programme offered by the Career Student Enrichment Team in the College of Business, where master’s students work in teams on real projects with partner organisations. Employer engagement gives students the chance to learn through practical challenges, feedback, and industry exposure.
Each team usually has 4 to 6 students. Projects typically run from January to April over 8 to 12 weeks. Application usually starts in November.
CPP helps you build experience that feels real, useful, and career relevant. You will learn how to work with ambiguity, adapt when things change, and stay resilient when a project gets unpredictable.
You will work on a real business project shaped by partner needs. Some projects may sit outside your major or strongest technical area, but that is still part of the value. Career readiness frameworks consistently highlight communication, critical thinking, teamwork, professionalism, and self-development as core skills for success.
Through CPP, you will build soft skills that matter across roles and industries, including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, resilience, and self-directed learning. You will also learn how to work through feedback, uncertainty, and real project expectations with your team.
CPP is designed for master’s students in the College of Business who want to build experience, grow confidence, and work professionally in a team. It is a strong fit for students who are proactive, curious, reliable, and ready to learn by doing. Master’s students are encouraged to use their time to gain hands-on experience and develop professionally before applying for full-time roles.
