CB3800 Business Practice Internship 2026 – Call for application

This 3-credit unit course is designed to provide College of Business students with hands-on experience in local business contexts during the summer months. This course can be used to fulfil the internship/consultancy project/research project requirement. Last year, 107 CityU students were successfully placed in 38 companies, including Census and Statistics Department (HKSAR), China Construction Bank (Asia) Corporation Limited, DHL Express (Hong Kong) Limited, Hutchison Telecommunications, Ocean Park Corporation, Shanghai Commercial Bank Limited, SHINEWING (HK) CPA Limited, The Hong Kong Electric Co. etc…and more.

Course Aims
The internship will provide you with real-life work experience in local context for at least 6 weeks on a full-time basis. With placements in international businesses, banking, financial services, accountancy firms, etc., you are expected to gain an in-depth and practical understanding of business operations in a professional context, in which you will apply the theories and skills you have learned in the undergraduate curriculum.

Eligibility

  • All BBAU4, BDDAOS, BDEF, BDIS Year 1 to Year 4 students (2022/ 2023/ 2024/ 2025 cohort) for 4-year BBA programme  
  • All BBAU3 Advanced Standing I students (2023/ 2024/ 2025 cohort) for 3-year BBA programme  
  • All BBAU2 Advanced Standing II students (2024/ 2025 cohort) for 2-year BBA programme
  • All BSCCBU4 Year 1 to Year 4 students (2022/ 2023/ 2024/ 2025 cohort) for 4-year BBA programme  
NOTE: The expected graduation date for final year students taking CB3800 will be Feb 2027 at the earliest, since the course grade of CB3800 will be released in Nov 2026.

The application period is from 2 February – 8 March 2026. Interested students please apply online via CB3800 website: www.cb.cityu.edu.hk/course/cb3800 with the CityU EID.

  3. Write the 300 words Applicant’s Statement on the “Finish” page;
