Social Leaders Entrepreneurial Empowerment Programme (SLEEP)
organized by Enactus Hong Kong
Enactus Hong Kong is the world’s largest experiential learning platform dedicated to creating a better world while developing the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders and social innovators.
Guided by educators and supported by business leaders, teams of students conduct needs assessments in their community, identify potential solutions to complex issues and implement community impact projects. This results in communities benefiting from collaboration and fresh innovation, and students gaining valuable experience to advance their personal and professional lives.
SLEEP is a 4‑month entrepreneurship-focused regional competition (March–June 2026) that simulates the journey of building a social enterprise. Students will work in teams, guided by mentors and industry experts, to develop impactful projects and pitch their solutions in structured competition rounds. Participation will not only strengthen their entrepreneurial and leadership skills but also enhance their problem‑solving, teamwork, and global engagement experience—skills highly valuable for their academic and professional growth.
The Early Stage Category: For teams with ideas beyond ideation but not yet validated or executed.
The Mature Stage Category: For teams with operating projects, traction, or measurable impact.
Each team will compete only against others within the same category to ensure fair competition among teams at similar levels of development.
Key Details
- Duration: March – June 2026
- Commitment: Active participation in team meetings and workshops. Scheduled dates include:
- Opening Ceremony: March 28
- Workshops: April 18, May 23
- Pitching Competition: June 20
- Regional Competition: July 25 (tentative)
- Activities: Project development, firm visits, mentorship sessions, and pitching practices.
- Global Opportunity: Winning teams will represent Hong Kong at the Enactus World Cup in São Paulo, Brazil (Nov, 2026).
- Team Size: 2–6 students from any Hong Kong university or post-secondary institution.
Application & Fees
- Standard Rate: HK$350 + HK$150 refundable deposit
- Deadline: Mar 8
- Refund Policy: Deposit refunded if all members attend the opening ceremony and at least one team member attends all of the other programme events.
The participation in this programme will be highly beneficial for you equipping with practical entrepreneurial experience, exposure to industry networks, and the confidence to become future leaders and changemakers.
