Programme Intended Learning Outcomes

In Semester B of the 2006-07 academic year, the OBTL Focus Group held several meetings to discuss and deliberate on the existing program ILOs (PILOs) of the three undergraduate programs. As a result of these meetings, the three PILOs were completely revised.

In revising the PILOs, Focus Group members consulted the following sources:

  • Role statement of CityU and attributes of an ideal graduate of the College of Business
  • College of Business Bachelor of Business Administration Program ILOs
  • comparable programs in other universities (local and overseas)
  • comments from FBs OBTL advisors (John Biggs, Catherine tang, and Elaine Payne) on earlier version of the PILOs.
  • OBTL literature (e.g. books by John Biggs)

The PLIOs of each program consists of two sections.  Section 1 is program- specific while section 2, which focuses on general and transferable skills, is common across all three undergraduate programs.

  • BBA Business Economics Program ILOs
  • BBA Finance Program ILOs
  • BBA Financial Engineering Program ILOs
  • Mapping of EF BBA Program ILOs to College of Business BBA Program ILOs
