The Haas School of Business of the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley) had provided advanced management executive programme to students (eg. DBA, EMBA and MBA) of the College of Business of City University of Hong Kong (CityU) under an agreement signed on 20 February 2008. The partnership underscores CityU's status as a top global institution.

Under this agreement, 60 business executives studying at CityU had the chance to a five-day executive leadership training programme at UC Berkeley.

CityU was the first tertiary institution in Hong Kong to work with the newly established Asia Business Centre of the Haas School of Business. The centre aimed at bolstering executive leadership training and research collaboration throughout the Pacific Rim.

Over 400 participants from CityU College of Business had successfully completed the Advanced Management Programme at UC Berkeley in the past years.
