New cohort: EMBA (Chinese) and EMBA+MPA welcome the 2026 Fall cohort
Nearly 100 new students from the EMBA (Chinese) and EMBA+MPA 2026 Fall cohorts have completed a four-day orientation, taking a fresh look at what leadership means in the AI era.
Moving beyond textbook theories, they joined three distinct experiential workshops: “The Leadership in Action”, “Enhancing Leadership through Self‑awareness Workshop” and “Leadership & Team Building Day Camp” during the orientation week.
These sessions are designed around one core idea: true leadership is not only the ability to influence others, but the courage for self-reflection and self-acceptance. Great leaders do not rely on a fixed style, but adapt to shifting contexts.
This multi-dimensional learning journey draws on both Eastern and Western perspective, creating spaces for experienced executives to learn, reflect and grow together.
Dean Stephen SHUM welcomes the new cohort of students at the Welcome Dinner.
Professor Stephen SHUM, Dean of the College of Business, shared in the welcome dinner, “Rapid AI advancement is automating routine tasks across industries. Yet visionary thinking, independent judgment and human-centric leadership, the core strengths of exceptional leaders, cannot be replaced by technology.”
In response to evolving global business demands, the EMBA (Chinese) programme continues to expand its AI and innovation curriculum, empowering students with a forward-looking global vision and innovative thinking.
