Rules:


  1. Food and beverages are not allowed inside the room.
  2. This room opens daily from 08:00am to 11:00pm to restricted groups of students and staff, if not booked. Users are advised to pre-book the room to confirm availability.
  3. The case rooms are provided to facilitate group work. At any time, users should not occupy the whole room for individual work.
  4. The rooms/area are designated for use of restricted groups of students and staff for academic related activities.
  5. College of Business reserves the rights to:
    1. forfeit any booked sessions for rooms that are not occupied by the principal user who makes the actual booking, and are found used for individual activities.
    2. disapprove a booking, to remove and dispose of any material, or to stop any activities that do not comply with the above-mentioned rules without notice.
  6. External guests should be greeted and met in other public area and they should ALWAYS be accompanied by the principal user. The University's security control will from time to time check user's identity and invite unaccompanied guests to leave the premises.
  7. Room users should take care of their own personal belongings which should not be left unattended inside the room. Cleaners will remove any objects inside the room WITHOUT notification in their routine cleaning job. The University does not bear any responsibility or liability for any lost or damaged items brought by the users under any circumstances.
  8. Damage / disorder of furniture or fixtures should be reported to the CB Information Technology Services Unit at 3442-9559 or cbitsu@cityu.edu.hk.
  9. In case of misuse or negligence, users will be held liable for damage done to the equipment or furniture inside the room, and be responsible for the total cost incurred for repair or replacement.
  10. All venues are reserved for the University's activities only. University personnel or departments should not make or transfer any booking to any outsider for hosting any event and will hold responsibility for the venue throughout the entire reserved period. Venues are not intended to be used as a place of public entertainment as interpreted in the Places of Public Entertainment Ordinance, Chapter 172. (i.e. the theatre cannot be used by the general public unless invited by the applicant).
  11. Please keep the room clean and tidy. Rubbish should be disposed properly in bins outside the room.
  12. The venue is air conditioned and temperature can be independently controlled inside the rooms. Users should never attempt unlocking or opening any of the windows.
  13. The TV inside the rooms should NEVER be used for entertainment purposes.
  14. Users are responsible for reinstating the facility to its original condition immediately after use.
  15. Before leaving the room, make sure all the lights, air-conditioning and TV are switched off, all personal belongings are taken away and the room is tidy and clean.
  16. Violation of these rules and regulations shall be subject to suspension of access for up to 3 months.
  17. The College reserves the rights to update this usage rules and list of eligible users without prior notice.
