The CityUHK EMBA programme is highly practical. It successfully broadened my business acumen and logical thinking while bringing together top talent from various industries. Having classmates from e-commerce, service, and F&B sectors expanded my horizons and helped me build a strong professional network.
As a hands-on industrialist, I built my career alongside my brothers, expanding our family's knitwear business into a thriving enterprise and earning the prestigious 2015 Young Industrialist Award of Hong Kong. Driven by my firm belief that the garment sector remains full of opportunity rather than being a fading sunset industry, I have always sought to turn market challenges into growth. Early in my career, when US export quota restrictions threatened our business, I advocated for establishing automated production in Japan—a move that boosted operational efficiency and opened up new international markets. To maintain our competitive edge, I focus on high-quality, functional fabrics developed through technology partnerships and strategic global expansion, including setting up manufacturing facilities in Vietnam to optimize costs while maintaining our high product standards.
Believing that continuous change is key to sustainable success, I enrolled in the CityUHK EMBA programme in 2012 to sharpen my leadership skills and pursue lifelong learning. The programme provided me with invaluable strategic management tools, broader business perspectives, and a rich network of cross-industry peers. Guided by my personal philosophy, "愛拼才會贏" ("No pain, no gain"), I continuously apply the rigorous insights and collaborative relationships gained from my EMBA journey to drive ongoing innovation, nurture young industry talent through academic partnerships, and lead industrial transformation in an ever-changing global market.
