HealthFinance: Future of Healthcare and Healthcare Cost in the Era of Artificial Intelligence, ChatGPT, Data Science, and Metaverse

CityU contributes panel session as part of Hong Kong Money Month 2023.

A virtual panel session was organized by the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) on March 31st to discuss the future of healthcare and healthcare costs in the era of AI. The wide-ranging discussion also explored the possible roles of ChatGPT, Data Science, and the Metaverse in the healthcare field and how these technological advances will affect healthcare costs. The session, part of Hong Kong Money Month 2023, was chaired and moderated by Professor SIAU Keng Leng, Head of the Department of Information Systems, Chair Professor of Information Systems, and Chair Professor (Affiliate) of the School of Data Science. The other panelists were Professor LIAO Shao Yi also of the Department of Information Systems, Professor NAH Fui Hoon of the Department of Media and Communication at CityU, Dr. WANG Tao, Head of Service Axis at the DISP Lab, INSA Lyon, UJM, France, Professor WEN Jin, of the Institute of Hospital Management, West China Hospital/Sichuan University, China, and Ms. YANG Yin, Research Assistant, Department of Clinical Research Management, West China Hospital/Sichuan University, China. The College of Business at CityU will continue to run such seminars to advance cross-disciplinary knowledge in the fast-developing AI and Healthcare areas and to engage the public in such discussions.
