He encouraged students to enjoy the diverse cuisine in Hong Kong, noting that Hong Kong offers a variety of delicious dishes from around the world. He also shared his own experience as a student in the United States, where he found the food incomparable to that of Hong Kong. Also present at the luncheon were Professor Mary Pang, the Associate Dean (Internationalisation), Ms. Helen Lam, Deputy Director of the Global Engagement Office of CityU, Ms. Jenny Lai, Manager of the Global Engagement Office, and representatives from various departments of the College, including Professor Sidney Leung, Dr. Andy Kwan, Dr. Alexandra Kalinina, and Professor Meng Long Li.

Prior to the luncheon, ESC held a CityU treasure hunt for inbound students to familiarize themselves with the CityU campus and connect with their fellow exchange buddies. During the CityU orienteering activity, students were divided into small groups to participate in various mini-games related to Hong Kong or CityU. Jad Baina, an exchange student from the University of Bath in the United Kingdom said, “I learned some fun facts about Hong Kong and CityU that were really amusing and amazing. I loved it."
