CB hosts a lecture for students from Management Center Innsbruck of Austria

As part of their Master's programme in International Business & Management, 21 students from the Management Center Innsbruck in Austria visited CityU on 26 September. The students hailed from a diverse range of countries, including Austria, Germany, Romania, Luxembourg, Italy, Spain, Brazil, and the Czech Republic. The study group is managed by the Austria Center at Fudan University, in collaboration with Ms Alexandra Wagner, Vice Consul for Education and Science of the Consulate General Shanghai. The Executive Education unit of the College of Business at CityU was honoured to receive the students for a lecture on this occasion.

The students attended an engaging lecture entitled "Hong Kong as a Global Financial Hub," delivered by Professor Wayne Yu, the Director of Executive Education. The lecture provided a comprehensive overview of Hong Kong's role as a global financial hub, exploring the historical factors that have shaped its current standing in the global economy. It offered valuable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities that arise from Hong Kong's economic landscape, enabling the students to gain a deeper understanding of the city's financial ecosystem. The audience appreciated the opportunity to engage in discussion, sharing insights and perspectives.
