Dr Peter Wong Tung-shun, Chairman of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, and the newly appointed Chair of the College International Advisory Board, visited CB on 11 January. Dr Wong made a campus tour and had lunch with Dean Kalok Chan, Professor Raymond Wong, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programmes), and student representatives, gaining a better understanding of the College and the undergraduate programmes offered by CB.

Dean Kalok Chan said: “Dr Wong's extensive experience greatly contributes to his position as the Chairman of CIAB. We look forward to his valuable guidance in the strategic development of the College.”

Dr Wong also holds roles with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s Academy of Finance, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Belt and Road and Greater Bay Area Committee, the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and The Hong Kong Institute of Bankers. He was awarded a Gold Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2020. This was Dr Wong’s first visit to CB since his appointment as the CIAB Chair on 1 January 2024.

The College International Advisory Board supports the development of the College as a globally-oriented business school, advising on matters which affect policy, goals and strategies for internationalisation within the College.
