The role of FinTech in banking, startups, and tech consulting involves enhancing financial services through technology and innovation. This includes providing efficient payment solutions, facilitating financial inclusion, and optimizing customer experiences. In banking, FinTech can streamline operations and reduce costs. Startups leverage FinTech to disrupt traditional models and offer novel services, while tech consulting utilizes these innovations to advise organizations on digital transformation.

In this session, the panelists will share insights about the transformation of Hong Kong’s banking sector, from “All Banks Go Fintech” to “All Banks Gone Fintech”.  How is FinTech position itself in banking/start-up/tech consulting? Where is HK at with Embedded Finance & Integration of AI, and what’s next? How can students prepare for a career in FinTech under the rapid transformation and regulations?

Potential opportunities may include, policy research, regulatory compliance, risk management, internal audit, and advisory roles within banks, legislative and regulatory bodies or FinTech companies.

The panelist speakers will discuss about the role of financial regulation in banking, its emerging trends and challenges from a career perspective; and share insights about its career prospects, required attributes and the fundamental requirements.
