2025 Apprenticeship Programme for Private Wealth Management

Hong Kong Monetary Authority (“HKMA”) and PWMA have jointly organized an apprenticeship programme for private wealth management (“PWM”) business in Hong Kong.

Programme
The Apprenticeship Programme involves two consecutive summers of paid, on-the-job apprenticeship training at a host PWM institution. It provides participants with front-to-back training and experience in functions including client services, investment products and services, operations, marketing, compliance and risk management, etc.

Participants who successfully complete the Programme and receive positive appraisals will be eligible for potential job offers in an appropriate PWM function (from front, middle or back office) at the host firms upon graduation.

Target Students
• Full-time undergraduates in the first to third year of study
• Students who possess a valid working visa in Hong Kong

Programme Duration
The apprenticeship period will last at least a total of 16 weeks in the summer of 2025 and 2026*
*The apprenticeship period will last a minimum of 16 weeks during the summers of 2025 and 2026*or 8 weeks in one summer subject to performance assessment or curriculum design of the participating firms.

Stipend Allowance
Students will receive a recommended stipend allowance of not less than HK$10,000 from their host institution sponsored in part by the HKMA.
