“The most memorable company visit was Metro Trains Sydney (MTS). We are honoured to have the chance to visit their operational control centre. Staffs at the OCC stays focus on multiple monitors carefully. They divide themselves into crisis management team and operations team to handle daily train operations. They are very professional and focus on every single detail to ensure passenger safety. This is the first time for me to see a real OCC in my eyes. This was a very memorable and exciting experience for me. During the visit, we can feel the passion of the staff. I hope I can find a job that I like and am happy with in the future.”
“Australia study tour definitely open my eyes and my mind by visiting different companies and places. Deeply appreciate Professor Wan for his network and fun sharing about his young life in Australia, making our journey more fun and enjoyable. Appreciate for the whole team arrangement and support during the study tour. Once in a lifetime opportunity make my CityU school life ended with a great journey with all of you.”
“My visit to Cathay Pacifics Southwest Pacific office left a lasting mark on both my outlook and my studies. Seeing their AI-backed safety gear-cameras that spot workers near hazards and swap out risky checks. It opened my eyes to how tech can actively protect people and reinvent ethical business. Their smart models squeeze every odd-shaped parcel into the hold so nothing shifts in flight, turning classroom theory into real results. The wider digital overhaul impressed me just as much: constant temperature logs for food, paperless queues that chop waste by 90 percent, and automatic weights/scans that hand staff back precious time. I watched experts weave together AI, clear data, and honest green ideas. That mix pushed smoother results, kept staff smiling, and raised safety bars. The session also tweaked my own career aim. I now want to build smart, people-first supply chains. Such networks can face the freight headaches we see every day.”

My eyes were awakened to the collaborative spirit that supports the university's success through my interactions with teachers and students. One experience that really affected me was the sharing from the student who take us walk around the campus. I have a greater respect for interdisciplinary approaches and the contribution of research to societal issues as a result of this experience. All things considered, this study tour gave my academic journey a sense of direction and expanded my horizons.”

“During this study tour, a visit to the public relations hall of the Korea Exchange (KRX) gave me a completely new understanding of business analytics. First, the Korean stock market uses red to represent rising prices and blue to represent falling prices. Second, I learned about the history of trading in Korea. Furthermore, the KRX guide described how KRX use automated technologies to guarantee fair trade and identify irregularities. From an academic perspective, this visit inspired me to explore how data visualization can help people make faster and more transparent decisions under high-pressure environments. In addition, it inspired me to explore how behavioral finance can complement my analytical tools. In terms of personal growth, I feel more confident in linking classroom theory to practical systems.”

Seeing a major broadcasting hub from behind the scenes from news production to content archiving showed me how technology, logistics, and teamwork operate under real-time pressure. Academically, it inspired me to think about operations management in a completely new context: scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management in media production are just as critical as in manufacturing or logistics.”
“Visiting Seoul National University was a highlight of the tour. I've always wanted to exchange in Seoul, so I took the chance to ask our SNU student guide everything—from course rigor to campus life. That conversation pushed me out of my comfort zone and gave me a clear roadmap for my own exchange plan. Academically, learning how SNU emphasizes self-directed research inspired me to rethink my study habits back home. This visit turned 'someday' into 'how'—and that shift from dreaming to planning felt like real personal growth.”
