Student Exchange
Many students like to join the exchange programmes offered by the College of Business, for 1 or 2 semesters. Students have become more mature and independent, as well as confident to work with others and have improved language skills. We provide subsidies to outstanding students.

The exchange programme provided me with opportunities to understand more about the world as well as my own country. Meeting and living with people from different countries helped me develop a cultural empathy that allows me to be more understanding towards their behaviors. Not only do I accept our differences, but also appreciate them.

On the exchange program of Victoria University of Wellington
I was inspired by an online platform in my exchange university and in turn created a similar online platform to help CityU student. An alumnus from Victoria University of Wellington created an online book trading platform to encourage students to reuse second hand textbooks and to facilitate the trade of second hand book. … In September 2013, I created a free and accessible online book trading platform for CityU students called ‘CityU Book Trade’. Up to now, the platform has about 1,500 members and it has facilitated more than hundreds of book trades among CityU students.

During the exchange, I improved myself in the academic area… The Professors often talked in detail about a certain topic and left some specific questions for students to think about. I got used to this new teaching approach quickly. Through the semester, my theoretical knowledge about the financial world expanded, especially in derivatives and financial statement analysis.
