Student Development

To enhance our students’ learning experience, we have different initiatives and facilities to help with student’s academic, career and personal development, within and outside programmes and courses.

Student Exchange Programme

Many students like to join the exchange programmes offered by the College of Business, for 1 or 2 semesters. We liaise with local, mainland and overseas companies that offer internships and students may apply for job placements during term time (part-time placements) and school breaks (full-time summer and winter internships). The programme aims to familiarize students with the professional life of industry practitioners in the business, economic and financial sectors. Through this programme, student mentees will gain more industry information and seek career advice from the executive mentors. In addition, the programme will help build a stronger alumni network among our current students, alumni and the Department.

The Department was established to educate students in the concepts and applications of economics and finance. We adopt and adapt state-of-the-art technologies to enhance our student’s learning experience. The Department runs two laboratories - Financial Computing Laboratory and CityUHK Experimental Economics Laboratory - to support student learning.
