Teaching Retreat 2026: Innovation, Impact, and AI

The Department of Management at City University of Hong Kong successfully hosted its annual Teaching Retreat on 19 May 2026. The University is encouraging departments to embed more elements of the 3Is (Innovation, Interdisciplinarity, and Impact) into teaching. As our programs grow and the nature of business management evolves, continuous improvement in teaching is critical.

This full-day event brought faculty members together to review and revamp the structure of the BBA Management and postgraduate programs (including MSc Management of Innovation and MA Global Business Management), identifying curriculum changes to align with current industry trends and technological advances.

We were delighted to have colleagues from the Talent and Education Development Office (TED) share innovative teaching practices, focusing on digital and team-based learning alongside AI–enabled instruction and policy. To drive these updates forward, strategic timelines and committees will be established over the coming year to implement the necessary changes and ensure continued educational excellence.
