I had the incredible opportunity to participate in an exchange program at York University in Canada, which became the highlight of my academic journey. Adapting to the cold weather was initially a challenge with morning classes, but the scenic snow views quickly become part I embraced most. My classmates and exchange buddies welcomed me into their social circles. We attended festivals and travelled together, exploring both the U.S. and Canada, from mountains to vibrant city life. These experiences enriched my understanding of North American diversity. Negotiation was a standout course that showcased the Canadian educational approach. I thoroughly enjoyed the interactive nature of the course, from cunning tactics in negotiations to discussions about career development and job environment differences. This exchange journey nurtured my personal development and ignited career aspirations, especially with final-year students surrounding my academic experience.

Choosing a university with fewer Hong Kong students pushed me to fully immerse myself: engaging in lively debates at SciencesPo, bonding with flatmates over cheese boards, and taking spontaneous trips across Europe. Beyond the croissants and champagne, this journey taught me independence and adaptability while showing me how to connect across cultures. It was in simple moments—like a Parisian baker patiently explaining the art of French pastries—that I gained my deepest insights. During my time there, I experienced various working styles while collaborating on projects with both local and international students.
