The Departmental Advisory Committee (DAC) serves as a strategic advisory body to the Head of Department, ensuring academic programs and research initiatives align with institutional standards and regional needs. The Committee provides high-level guidance on curriculum development and quality assurance—evaluating course relevance, student performance, and graduate employability—while identifying opportunities to expand the department’s consultancy and contract research portfolio. Additionally, the DAC helps the department respond dynamically to the socioeconomic needs of Hong Kong and Mainland China by fostering strategic partnerships with external organizations to secure practical training, scholarships, and collaborative research ventures.
