Student Mentoring Scheme
The objectives of the student mentoring scheme are:
- To help incoming students transit smoothly into the curriculum and culture
- To enhance a sense of belonging to our department
- To create a supportive peer-learning environment so that students can effectively achieve their academic and personal goals
In this scheme, incoming students are under the guidance of a senior student for one semester so that new students discover how to get the most out of the curriculum and co-curricular activities offered by the department. Our student mentors are enthusiastic about sharing their personal experiences with new students. Various activities will be organized in this mentoring scheme, typically including an orientation, a small group sharing session, and some social networking activities.
Career Advising Support
The Department of Management provides comprehensive career support for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Our experienced advisors offer consultations, personalized coaching and interactive workshops to help students navigate the job market, refine their career goals, and develop the essential skills needed to succeed. Whether exploring industry options, crafting job search strategies, or gaining hands-on experience through consulting projects, our students benefit from tailored resources to achieve their professional aspirations in management, consulting, and beyond.
Student Entrepreneurship Project
The Student Entrepreneurship Project is specially designed for year two and three students to help them develop their managerial competencies through experiential training. The core of the project involves students running a small business at the Chinese New Year Fair Night Market. The experience provides management students with the opportunity to apply what they learned in the real world, and develop their entrepreneurial spirit and abilities for future career and business ventures.
