Fintech and Digital Assets Centre

The FinTech and Digital Assets Centre (FDAC), formerly the FinTech and Business Analytics Centre (FBAC), is a research centre of the College of Business at City University of Hong Kong. FDAC builds on FBAC’s established strengths in FinTech, business analytics, quantitative finance, financial econometrics, machine learning, generative AI, blockchain, and industry collaboration, while expanding its focus to digital assets, digital finance, and AI-enabled financial services.

The Centre supports interdisciplinary research on how data, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies are reshaping financial markets, investment, risk management, regulation, and business practice. Its research activities cover AI/ML asset pricing, quantitative investment, portfolio choice, financial econometrics, digital assets, blockchain applications, generative AI for financial market intelligence, and data-driven financial decision-making.

FDAC serves as a platform for academic research, education, industry engagement, and knowledge exchange. Through collaboration with scholars, industry practitioners, and public-sector partners, the Centre aims to contribute rigorous and practical insights to the responsible development of FinTech and digital finance in Hong Kong, the Asia Pacific region, and beyond.
