The Incentive Programme for self-solicited internships at
HK$500 will be continued in academic year of 2022/23. The programme encourages students to participate in and report self-secured internships upon completion of these internships in Summer Term 2023. Students will receive a subsidy of HK$500 by Nov/Dec for each reported internship endorsed and vetted by the Career and Leadership Center.
Eligibility:
1. Self-solicited internships must NOT bearranged by College / School / Department, and not entitled to any other university / government grants or public subsidies;
2. Students currently enrolling in the below programmes are NOT eligible to apply for this Incentive Programme:
○ job assignments under Campus Internship Scheme (CIS); and
○ ITC STEM Internship Scheme administered by Career and Leadership Centre (CLC)
3. The internship should be considered relevant to students’ study major (subject to the endorsement by Business Career Development);
4. Reported internship must take place between 5 Jun 2023 - 3 Sept 2023;
5. The minimum internship duration should be at least 2 consecutive weeks or 75 man-hours;
6. There is no restriction on internship location provided that the internship fulfils the relevant eligibility with CB’s endorsement. Virtual internships are also accepted (as a special arrangement under the COVID-pandemic situation).
To participate in the incentive programme (Phase 3, Summer
2023), students should:
1. fill in the Application Form
HERE;
2. submit (i) 500-word Self-reflection Report on learnings from the internship (download here); AND
3. submit (ii) Employer’s Reference Letter upon completion of the internship
OR Employment Contract OR Offer Letter (stating clearly of the internship start and end date).
