Speaker Bio: Dr. Leung is currently the Associate Vice-President (Knowledge Exchange) and Director of ICAPE at Hang Seng University. Former Dean of Scope, City University of Hong Kong. He has also been an Associate professor in the Department of Frontline Marketing and the EMBA Course Director of the Executive MBA program for 20 years; from 1993 to 2001, he served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Science, City University of Hong Kong; from 1997 to 2000, he also served as the Innovative Industrial Information Technology Deputy Director. During his teaching career of more than 30 years, he won the 8th Outstanding Teaching Award of City University of Hong Kong and was recognized five times as the Student Learning and Development Excellence Award. Dr. Leung received his master's and doctoral degrees in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his doctorate in education from the University of Bristol. He also holds a master's degree in computer and information science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Before joining City University of Hong Kong, Dr. Leung was the Business Execution Manager of American Express Credit Card Company, where he was responsible for re-engineering the credit authorization process of the global authorization center and optimizing the operation strategy of global credit authorization. Dr. Leung was also a full-time Senior Consultant for Kodak Company, responsible for developing and executing corporate training courses, focusing on developing, improving and controlling the quality of large-scale systems and his clients include Fortune 100 companies. Dr. Leung also actively provides consulting and training to more than 100 local companies and government departments, such as: HSBC, IBM, FEDEX, Standard Chartered Bank, Hang Seng Bank, Civil Service Training Institute, Information Technology Department and Hong Kong Post, etc.
Dr. Leung specializes in the field of service management, especially issues such as service strategy and quality management, business process transformation, and strategies to enhance customer loyalty. He is also good at data analysis and computer simulation. He has served as a columnist for Hong Kong Sing Tao Daily, Recruit, Central Magazine, South China Morning Post and China Entrepreneur Magazine, and as a guest host for Metro News Channel.
