Private Wealth Management Association (“PWMA”) is an industry association whose mission is to foster the growth and development of the private wealth management industry in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Monetary Authority (“HKMA”) and PWMA have jointly organized an apprenticeship programme for private wealth management (“PWM”) in Hong Kong.
Programme
The Apprenticeship Programme features a flexible, paid summer apprenticeship at a host PWM institution. The Programme aims to provide university students with front-to-back training and experience in the private wealth management business. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to learn about different investment products, client services, operations, marketing, compliance, and risk management etc. The experience gained through this programme will provide students with a solid foundation for a career in the private wealth management industry.

*The apprenticeship period will last a minimum of 16 weeks in the summer of 2026 and 2027* or 8 weeks in one summer, subject to performance assessment of the participating firm.

Target Students
Full-time undergraduates in their first to third year of study
Students who possess a valid working visa in Hong Kong
Stipend Allowance
Students will receive a recommended stipend allowance of not less than HK$10,000 per month from their host institution, sponsored in part by the HKMA.
