Zhongke Hongtai (Shenzhen) Intelligent Technology Co.
After running my business in chemical equipment and intelligent robotics applications for several years, I realised it was time to expand our market reach. Seeking new avenues for growth, I carefully evaluated top executive programmes and chose City University of Hong Kong for its remarkable global diversity. I knew that surrounding myself with international peers and faculty would open doors to valuable partnerships—and it delivered beyond expectations.
Within just six months of interacting with my cohort, I identified key operational blind spots in my own business. By adopting my classmates' best practices into our management strategy, we achieved immediate, positive results. The degree of collaboration here extends far beyond the classroom. Through student referrals and shared projects, we have unlocked genuine business synergies. In fact, during a class continuous improvement project, I partnered with a classmate who owns a clothing manufacturing business. Using my expertise in automation and industrial robotics, I helped retrofit his production line to boost productivity. This transformed our academic assignment into a real-world, high-value business collaboration.
Pursuing an EMBA programme involves much more than just theoretical learning. Instead, everyone participates in multiple informal, private conversations with one another. They collaborate by sharing their best practices with classmates, and subsequently, they go back to expand their own businesses. It is definitely a process of mutual improvement.
