Potential Collaborators

Establishing and deepening the mutual cooperative relationship with Alibaba/Taobao by liais with their local collaborating partner, as well as the setting up of a platform (IT system, data warehousing and mining), this will set the stage for the conduct of high industry impact research.

With the data availability from Alibaba/Taobao, obtaining useful results for business decision making, enhancing system features, streamlining the database management system as well as improvement in on-line marketing strategies all become feasible. The current mix of the research team demonstrates the expertise in turning the data into knowledge across several areas in contemporary information systems. The team is also capable of creating innovative marketing strategies via statistical data mining and business intelligence tools in an effective and efficient manner. Interaction among team members creates synergy and substantially enhances the outcomes arising from research activities. These in turn contribute to the scholarship of discovery and the development of applied research “products”.  High level research outputs and industrial impacts are anticipated.
