On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 1st ASCI-HK International Conference, jointly hosted by the Department of Decision Analytics and Operations, City University of Hong Kong, and the School of Business Administration, South China University of Technology. The conference will be held in Guangzhou, China, from January 9 to 10, 2027.

The 1st ASCI-HK International Conference provides a broad and collaborative platform for scholars, students, and industry practitioners to exchange innovative research, share best practices, and develop new perspectives in operations management and related disciplines. By bringing together diverse research communities, the conference seeks to encourage meaningful dialogue across disciplinary, methodological, and geographical boundaries.

The theme of the conference, “Resilient Operations in a Changing World,” reflects the profound challenges and opportunities facing organizations and society. Rapid technological advances, economic uncertainty, environmental pressures, geopolitical shifts, and evolving social expectations are transforming how operations are designed, coordinated, and managed. In this environment, resilience means more than recovering from disruption: it is the capacity to anticipate change, adapt intelligently, innovate responsibly, and continue creating value for organizations, individuals, and society.

We warmly welcome contributions spanning the full breadth of operations management and its interfaces with supply chain management, information systems, marketing, finance, strategy, behavioral science, data analytics, and innovation. We especially encourage work that advances rigorous theory and methods while addressing consequential real-world problems.
