Mr. Floyd Newsum, CityU DBA Cohort 2011 is shortlisted as one of the 13 finalists among 300 teams in the FinCapDev Competition

This June, Mr. Floyd Newsum, CityU DBA Cohort 2011 and founder of seed-stage start-up PersonaFi, Ltd. (Personal Finance Innovations), travelled to San Francisco, CA with his DBA lead mentor/advisor, Dr. Michael Wong, to present two new apps during the FinCapDev App Demo Day. FinCapDev Competition is a national app building contest to create innovative mobile apps that increase financial capability and access.

During the event, Floyd and Dr. Wong presented demos of the LOUD Money & Scholar Dollar$ Apps to a panel of expert judges hailing from the venture capital, entrepreneurial  media, accelerator, fintech, and consumer finance spaces.  The two apps project is shortlisted as one of the 13 finalists among 300 teams in the FinCapDev Competition, in which the behavioral finance project (Phase 1) was financially supported by the CityU Provost Office’s Incubation Scheme. Floyd and Dr. Wong were awarded certificates of achievement during the event.
