Dr Jim Yeung, DBA Graduate, published his paper in the Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies

Dr Jim Yeung, graduated in 2014, has recently published his paper in the Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies. The paper “Nonlinear Effect of Board Size on Corporate Performance: Impact of the Cultural Backgrounds of Directors in Hong Kong” reveals a curvilinear relationship between board size and firm performance after controlling the cultural backgrounds of directors and demonstrates that the board size effect on performance is contingent on the cultural backgrounds of directors for firms listed in major Hong Kong exchanges.

The Asia-Pacific Journal of Financial Studies is published bimonthly and focuses on empirical and theoretical research on capital markets of the Pacific Rim countries. It is the first Social Science Citation Index (SSCI)-listed finance journal in Asia. The major topics include corporate finance, investments, capital and security markets, and quantitative methods of particular relevance to financial researchers.
