Orientation and Residential Workshop for DBA Cohort 2022
The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme welcomed the new DBA students in the three-day Orientation and Residential Workshop held on CityU campus from 26th to 28th August.
Prof Jeong Bon Kim, Acting Dean of College of Business, expressed his warm welcome to the new cohort. Prof Muammer Ozer, DBA Programme Director, made an enlightening and enriching introduction to the DBA programme and to the three-day workshop, followed by an informative presentation by Dr Sidney Leung, DBA Associate Director, on course and administrative matters of the DBA learning journey.
As part of the intensive workshop, Prof Ozer introduced the research process and hi ghlighted the critical aspects of generating high quality research. The following departmental representatives also introduced research in their respective disciplines:
- Prof Junbo Wang, Acting Head of Department of Economics and Finance
- Prof Keng Leng Siau, Head of Department of Information Systems
- Dr Andrew Chan, Associate Professor of Department of Management
- Dr Huazhong Zhao, Associate Professor of Department of Marketing
- Prof Pengfei Guo, Chair Professor of Department of Management Sciences
During the workshop several guest speakers including Mr Steve Chuang of Cohort 2021, Mr Alfred Mu of Cohort 2020, and Mrs Linda Biek of Cohort 2019, as well as DBA graduate, Dr Wilson Yeh, shared the challenges and rewards of their DBA journey.
