ORIENTATION AND RESIDENTIAL WORKSHOP FOR DBA COHORT 2025
The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) programme welcomed the new DBA students in a three-day Orientation and Residential Workshop I held in Macau from 29 August to 31 August.
Prof. Muammer Ozer, DBA Programme Director, expressed his warm welcome to the new cohort and made an enlightening and enriching introduction to the DBA programme and to the three-day workshop, followed by an informative presentation by Prof. Vikas Kakkar, DBA Associate Director, on course and administrative matters of the DBA learning journey.
As part of the intensive workshop, Prof. Ozer introduced the research process and highlighted the critical aspects of generating high quality research. The following departmental representatives also introduced research in their respective disciplines:
- Prof. Yangxin Yu, Professor of Department of Accountancy
- Prof. Jianfu Wang, Associate Head of Department of Decision Analytics and Operations
- Prof. Xuan Song Tam, Associate Head of Department of Economics and Finance
- Prof. Jingjun David Xu, Professor of Department of Information Systems
- Prof. Muammer Ozer, Professor of Department of Management
- Prof. Zhilin Yang, Professor of Department of Marketing
During the workshop several guest speakers including Mr. Philip McManus of Cohort 2024, Mr. Feng Xue of Cohort 2023, and Mr. Terence Chau of Cohort 2022, as well as DBA graduate, Dr. Anna Chan, shared the challenges and rewards of their DBA journey.
