CityUHK DBA Welcomes New Cohort and Recognises Outstanding Alumni and Students

CityUHK DBA 2025 Cohort Welcoming Dinner and Awards Presentation Ceremony took place on 17 October 2025.

Prof. Stephen Shum, Dean of College of Business, expressed his warm welcome to the new cohort. Prof. Muammer Ozer, DBA Programme Director, made the opening remarks and introduced the new learning partners in the gathering.

The second part of the event was the awards presentation to seven devoted learning partners and graduates: Dr. Fareeda Cassumbhoy (2025 Graduate), Dr. Alan Lai (2025 Graduate), and Mr. Chamika Willorage (Cohort 2024) received the CityUHK DBA Contribution to the Society Award; Dr. Steve Chuang (2025 Graduate) and Dr. Richard Tunbridge (2025 Graduate) received the Outstanding CityUHK DBA Graduate Award; Dr. Rajeev Chib (2020 Graduate) and Dr. Paul Hu (2023 Graduate) received the Outstanding CityUHK DBA Alumni Awards, in recognition of their dedication and effort in sharing their DBA research with the business community and the society at large.

Also attending this memorable event and celebration were Prof. Vikas Kakkar, DBA Programme Associate Director, Prof. Yangyang Chen, Head of Department of Accountancy, Prof. Bonnie Hayden Cheng, Head of Department of Management, and Prof. David Li, Head of Department of Marketing.
