Abstract:
As China’s 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) proceeds ahead with gradual liberalization of the business environment and accelerates its inward and outward business expansion landscape, the Chinese Government works to attract investors by addressing market access restrictions, and the business and regulatory environment.

Setting up a business entity to capitalize on these growth and market share opportunities requires the investigation of different modes of China market entry. The purpose of this chapter is to discuss the spectrum of business initiation activities ranging from the organizational structure, location and internationalization strategies, government regulations, and the China party (CCP) role, as well as other marketing, logistical, and distribution considerations.

Finally, the chapter will discuss the ease of doing business in China. A review of business failures in China Market Entry must be studied to understand the barriers to success and avoid wasted investments.
