Since 2001, the Department of Management Sciences from the City University of Hong Kong has been offering Enterprise Data Mining course for the BBA (Hons) Managerial Statistics Programme (under three-year structure) and BBA (Hons) Business Analysis Programme (under four-year structure) . Students of both Programmes are required to do a group project using the data mining techniques and SAS Enterprise Miner skills to solve real-life business problems in the final year of study. The Data Mining Challenge Award was established by the Department to recognize the best students’ project in this course since 2009 under the sponsorship of SAS Institute (HK).
