Dr. Junyi Dong currently serves as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Decision Analytics and Operations at City University of Hong Kong, starting July 2026. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Management Sciences from CityU (2018–2023) and Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences from Beijing Normal University (2014–2018). Before his current appointment, he completed two postdoctoral fellowships at HKUST and the Marketing Department of CityU, and visited Leeds School of Business, CU Boulder in 2024. His research lies at the intersection of stochastic operations research, data-driven reinforcement learning, dynamic pricing and revenue management, with industry collaborations in fashion retail and online e-commerce. He also delivers undergraduate and postgraduate business analytics courses and has presented his research findings at various international academic conferences. Multiple manuscripts are under review at top INFORMS/POM journals including Marketing Science, Operations Research, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, and Production and Operations Management.
