The College of Business, renowned for its commitment to internationalisation, recently partnered with the Exchange Student Club (ESC) to host an exciting series of orientation activities for incoming exchange students from 114 partner universities worldwide. The orientation week, held from 26 to 29 August 2025, underscored our dedication to fostering a truly global learning environment.

With 260 students embarking on this enriching journey, the orientation week was designed to facilitate smooth transitions into both academic and social life in Hong Kong. The ESC's initiatives included a diverse array of informative sessions, interactive meetups, and engaging events, all aimed at providing essential insights and support as students navigated their new surroundings.

One highlight was the welcoming luncheon on 27 August, attended by professors and representatives from the College of Business and CityUHK. This gathering provided an opportunity for students to connect with faculty and staff, fostering a sense of community right from the start.

Prior to the luncheon, the ESC organised a CityUHK Orienteering Game, aimed at familiarising inbound students with the campus layout and encouraging connections among peers in a fun and interactive way.

On 29 August, 110 inbound students, along with 10 dedicated ESC members and helpers, enjoyed a memorable day out on Lantau Island. They visited the iconic Big Buddha and the traditional fishing village of Tai O, immersing themselves in Hong Kong's rich culture and stunning landscapes. This excursion allowed students to bond and also provided a unique opportunity to appreciate the vibrant local heritage.

The College of Business extends its best wishes to all exchange students for an unforgettable journey at CityUHK and throughout their time in Hong Kong. We invite prospective students to explore our thriving international community and learn more about the CB Student Exchange Programme by visiting our website: CB Exchange Programme website.
