Biography
Dr. Satish Sahoo is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Accountancy at the College of Business, City University of Hong Kong. His research leverages both structured and unstructured data to examine how financial and non-financial information is disclosed, intermediated by the media and financial analysts, and utilized by firms and capital market participants. His work focuses on settings characterized by strategic change and heightened information asymmetry, including mergers and acquisitions and ESG. At CityU, Dr. Sahoo teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in financial reporting, financial accounting, and risk management.
