Biography
Yue Zhang is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Decision Analytics and Operations, City University of Hong Kong. Prior to this, she was a Visiting Research Scholar at Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, and had worked as an assistant professor of supply chain management at the Smeal College of Business, Penn State University. She received her Ph.D. in OM from Duke University. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in math and physics from Tsinghua University and a master in OM from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Her research focuses on studying the impact of emerging technologies on operations and decision making. She was the awardee of Dr. Robert D. Pashek and Dr. John J. Coyle Early Career Professorship in Supply Chain at Penn State. Her research works have won CSAMSE best paper awards, appeared on European Journal of Operational Research, INFORMS Transactions on Education, Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Operations Research, and have also been featured by media outlets such as Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing Industry. She serves as an Associate Editor for the Decision Sciences Journal, and her referee activities have been recognized with M&SOM Meritorious Service Awards.
