Biography
Dr. Isabel Yan joined the City University of Hong Kong in 2002 after obtaining her Ph.D. degree in Economics and M.Sc. degree in Statistics from Stanford University.
She served as the Associate Head of the Department of Economics and Finance in 2012-2015, the Assistant Dean on Assurance of Learning in 2015-2016, and the Assistant Dean on Business Career Development in 2016-2019. She was also the finalist of the Teaching Excellence Award at City University of Hong Kong in 2008 and 2009.
Her research specializes in international economics and applied econometrics. Her research has been published in Journal of International Economics, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, among others.
