The competition was launched by Tencent Finance Academy (HK) and WeChat Pay HK Ltd supported by the Haccelerator Platform organized by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and Cyberport. It aims to encourage students to learn about how to make use of financial technologies to make our lives easier and to foster Hong Kong’s development towards a smart city.
The team submitted a business proposal of a mobile app aiming at solving ticket reselling problem in early October. 8 teams out of hundred teams were selected to the semi-final for a 10-minute pitching held in the Hong Kong FinTech Week 2018. Only 2 teams were selected to the final round in which they were required to shorten the presentation into 5 minutes on site, then challenge each other on stage. Teams were required to answer questions from the judging panel as well.
