About the Departmental Undergraduate Student Chapter

The Departmental Undergraduate Student Chapter is committed to enriching the academic and social experience for students in the Information Systems (IS) Department. We focus on three core objectives:

  1. Networking: Facilitate connections between students and industry professionals, as well as distinguished alumni.
  2. Skill Development: Cultivate essential soft skills, such as public speaking and event planning.
  3. Community Building: Foster a sense of unity and collaboration within the IS department.

 

The Departmental Undergraduate Student Chapter involve in six area:

  1. Admissions: Coordinates entry-related activities like Information Day and school visits.
  2. Student Advising: Assists first-year students in adapting to university life through welcome parties and study workshops.
  3. Social Events: Plans social gatherings, including BBQs and war games.
  4. Professional Development: Organizes seminars, company visits, and skill-building sessions.
  5. Workshops: Conducts specialized workshops on topics such as wine tasting, business etiquette, and career planning.
  6. Promotions: Manages marketing and promotional materials, including social media and email campaigns.
