Winning in the Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2019

Won in the Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2019.

 

INTEPAY was selected as one of the 13 Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2019 winning teams to receive the HK $100,000 Cyberport Creative Micro Fund. A total of 18 teams, comprising 58 local university students, designed the fintech scheme and competed in the final demo pitch at Cyberport on October 10.

 

Participating students from six local universities have received a series of fintech training in Hong Kong since July. In August, they went to the booth school of business of the University of Chicago to participate in a one-week entrepreneurship camp. After returning to Hong Kong, they improved the scheme and presented it to the judges.

 

INTEPAY, an award-winning start-up that works on comparison of payment tools. In this competition, the team proposed a new concept of credit card sharing that allows people with low credit ratings to enjoy credit card benefits..

 

The INTEPAY team said: "This event allowed us to visit a prestigious us university and further exchange our knowledge of entrepreneurship and fintech. In the process, we met a lot of other financial professionals, also absorbed a lot of advice, optimize our business model. CUPP is a wonderful experience of a lifetime!"

 

The winning team will receive a start-up grant of HK $100,000 from the Cyberport Creative Micro Fund. They will also be eligible for an interview under the Cyberport incubation scheme. Once selected, they will receive up to HK $500,000 of start-up capital, free office, etc. They will also be eligible to apply for various Cyberport support schemes.
