MAQAB Welcome Party
Students of the MAQAB programme held a “Welcome Party” on October 20, 2018 at City Top (9th floor, Bank of China (complex) Building). More than 40 first year MAQAB students and several academic staff attended the party.
MS Student Won 2nd Runner-up in Cathay Pacific 24-Hour Hackathon
Congratulations to MS BBA student, YU Ho Yin Alex, for winning the second runneer-up in the Cathay Pacific 24-Hour Hackathon.
MS Data Competition
To encourage students practice more real world data analysis, the MS Department has organized a competition to our BANL and BOM students in September 2018. Students formed groups with maximum two people, and used a large dataset of real bank loan data to develop a predictive model for identifying potential default cases.

The new Council Members of the Alumni Association of Management Sciences (MSAA) have been elected at the 6th Annual General Meeting. The Council brings the alumni leaders and contributors together, serving as a bridge to facilitate communication amongst members, the Department and the University.

BOM Industrial Mentoring Scheme 2019
BOM Industrial Mentoring Scheme (IMS) was held on 12 January 2019 at LT-14 in Yeung Kin Man Academic Building. This year, we have invited six graduate mentors from various industries such as banking & finance, business consulting, textile, property, trade and supply chain management to share their industry insights and job seeking tips with over 30 mentees.
Faculty’s Publication Selected as Featured Article of Management Science
Dr. Zhankun Sun, an Assistant Professor of the Department of Management Sciences, has a paper selected by the Editor-in-Chief to be one of the Featured Articles by the flagship journal Management Science. The paper “Patient Triage and Prioritization Under Austere Conditions”, is a joint work with Professor Nilay Argon and Professor Serhan Ziya from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.
