Dr. Wang Qiang, a PhD graduate of MS (2000) and now a professor at University of International Business and Economics, recently received the awards of 國家百千萬人才工程 and 有突出貢獻中青年專家。 國家百千萬人才工程是由人力資源和社會保障部、科技部、教育部等七部委聯合組織實施的一項國家重大人才培養計畫，面向專業技術人員實施，重點選拔培養瞄準世界科技前沿，能引領和支撐國家重大科技、關鍵領域實現跨越式發展的高層次中青年領軍人才。

A research team led by Prof. Guoqing Zhang (MS PhD 2000 and now a professor at the University of Windsor) has won the prestigious Practice Prize of the Canadian Operational Research Society. The prize recognizes an outstanding application of operational research by a Canadian that has had a significant, verifiable and quantifiable impact on the performance of the client organization. The title of the winning project is “Modeling of the Air Cargo Network Flow Optimization”. The Prize was awarded on June 16, 2015 at the CORS National Conference in Montreal.

 It was our pleasure to receive a delegation from the School of Health Care Administration, Taipei Medical University on 5 April 2016. The delegation, comprising of several teachers and 20 Taiwan students, was warmly greeted by Prof Frank Chen, Head of Department, and Dr Geoffrey Tso, Associate Head of the Department at the welcome lunch. It was followed by the sharing and exchange session held at a seminar room at Academic 3.
