MBA students visiting Hanbo Enterprises and HIT in Shenzhen

Over two-dozen MBA students and staff members from the College of Business travelled to Shenzhen, mainland China on 8 November, visiting Hanbo Enterprises Ltd and HIT- Shenzhen. It was a great opportunity for students to recognize the business operation in supply chain management and logistic in Southeast Asia.

During the visit, executives from Hanbo and HIT presented to students an overview on the business process and discovered insights on challenges. With an average annual output of 12 million pieces, Hanbo’s keys to successful supply chain management were concentrations on developing long term cooperative relationships with customers and suppliers, as well as building a mutual trust and win-win situation for all involved, said Mr Peter Cheng, Executive Director. MBA students also visited the HIT-Shenzhen (Hongkong International Terminals), the largest container terminal in Shenzhen and a member of the HPH Trust who is the world's first container port business trust listed in Singapore.
