CB and CityU undergraduates return home from Antarctica

After a 21-day voyage to Antarctica, CB undergraduates WONG Chun Kit, Jacky from BBA (Hons) Marketing and AU Pui Yee, Ada from BBA (Hons) Accountancy, returned home to Hong Kong together with 21 teammates on Friday 3rd January. During this journey the students worked on an extreme climate art and science interdisciplinary research project.

Below are some photos highlighting the exploration trip:

Ten days into the trip, Ada shared with us: “We have just finished the expedition in Antarctica for the past ten days. There are a lot of awesome icebergs and penguins. Now we are staying in Ushuaia for two more days, then we are going to depart on the first day of 2014. It is an unforgettable trip!“

Jacky shared with us his greetings and photos after he landed in Hong Kong: “Happy New Year 2014! The first and second photos were taken in Orne Island and it is a very good site for snow sliding and there are many Chinstrap penguin colonies; while the third one was taken in Curverille Island, which has a lot of Gentoo penguin colonies.”

An interview with Ada and Jacky will soon be conducted. They will share with us experiences and discoveries in one of the most extreme environments, Antarctica. Stay tuned for the interview!
