EMBA Association hosts annual dinner for students and alumni

The City University of Hong Kong EMBA Association (EMBAA) held its 10th annual dinner for the reunion of students and alumni at The Excelsior hotel on Saturday evening, 26th April.

Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim, SBS, JP, Secretary for Education, Education Bureau of HKSAR, was invited as the guest speaker for the event. Prof Houmin Yan, Dean of CB, Dr John Leung, Programme Director of EMBA and Associate Professor of Department of Marketing (MKT), and Mr Spencer Sze, Chairman of the Executive Committee of EMBAA jointly welcomed the guests, Prof Roderick Wong, Vice-President of CityU Development and External Relations, Prof Paul Lam, Chief-of-Staff of CityU, Dr Gang Hao, Associate Vice-President (Development) of Development Office, and all alumni and students. 

The theme of the dinner was Our Past, Our Future.  Mr Chan-wing Li, EMBA alumnus of 2003 cohort, conducted a short interview with Mr Ng on the spot and shared their views on current education policy and future development of Hong Kong education system.  The dinner was highlighted by a series of activity including lucky draws, alumni performances and awards presentation.

About the EMBA Association

EMBAA was established in 2000 by a group of EMBA alumni and is supported by the Master of Business Administration (Executive) Programme (EMBA) of the College of Business.  It serves as a platform for students and alumni to share and exchange learning and working experience of different professions. It has accumulated over 250 alumni members. The first annual dinner was held in 2003 by the Executive Committee with Honourable Mrs Anson Chan, the then Chief Secretary of HKSAR government, as guest speaker.
